A Woman of All Weathers

Made to Measure, Made for the Moors.
Tailoring For Women Autumn Winter '26

Since 1821, Norton & Sons has built its name on considered tailoring, cut to last and worn with intention. Our Tailoring for Women service carries that same principle forward, and for Autumn Winter '26, we wanted to show where else it can lead.

Savile Row is often shorthand for one thing, a suit. This season is proof it can mean something else too.

A beautiful tweed and a well-cut pair of trousers can say just as much. This season, we have introduced a small collection of more relaxed pieces. Tweed jacketing, full length overcoating and tailored trousers with the ease of denim yet the precision of a proper trouser.

We've even cut our House Tweed for women this season, the same cloth woven exclusively for the House, given an entirely different silhouette. It felt right to put both audiences in the same fabric and let the cut do the talking.

This is Savile Row at its most versatile, formal when it needs to be, yet easy when it doesn't.

Wool and Indigo

A Shetland tweed jacket in mushroom grey, cut with peak lapels, patch pockets and a turnback cuff. Structured enough to hold its shape yet soft enough to wear all day. Tied simply at the neck, our Expedition Square lends a small note of colour against the grey.

Underneath, a wide leg trouser in a Mohair cotton denim. The blend softens what can otherwise be a stiffer cloth, giving it a proper drape while still holding a clean line through the leg. Rich indigo, cut wide, it wears with all the ease of a favourite pair of jeans but the precision of a trouser built properly.

Homeward

Cut in our iconic Norton & Sons House Tweed, this look takes on a softer form, a single-breasted silhouette with wide notch lapels and slanted pockets. It's a piece simpler than the tailoring elsewhere in the collection, and all the more elegant for it.

Beneath it, we layered our indigo wool denim trousers, a simple white vest and an indigo denim western shirt. Denim on denim, styled under tweed, for a look with genuine texture and depth. It is a study in contrast as much as harmony, tailoring worn with something altogether more relaxed, yet formal in its own beauty, sitting perfectly against the colour of the moor behind her.

Higher Ground

There is one coat every wardrobe needs, and this is it. We designed it in a mink brown wool from Loro Piana, full length and double breasted. Adorned with large statement peak lapels and swelled edges it is kept deliberately simple. Stroller pockets and a dramatic, floor sweeping length finish it, the kind of coat built to be noticed the moment you put it on.

Beneath it, Heather wears an ivory brushed cotton trouser. Patch pockets at the back borrow the look and feel of a jean, while the cut and finish keep it firmly considered. A Fell Grey Donegal turtleneck, pulled from our men's Autumn Winter collection, layers beneath the coat.

It is a look built around one idea: invest properly in outerwear, and everything underneath becomes easier. Photographed here on higher ground, coat trailing out behind, it is Norton & Sons tailoring at its most quietly commanding.

Chalk and Stone

Flannel earns its place in every Autumn wardrobe, and this suit shows exactly why. We cut it from a grey wool cashmere flannel chalk stripe by Loro Piana, a blend that gives the cloth real softness alongside the structure a suit depends on, warm enough for the season, yet precise enough to hold a sharp line. Heather wears it as a three piece, styled in a a double-breasted jacket and flared trousers.

Beneath it, we styled a relaxed pointed collar shirt, cut from Thomas Mason denim in a washed grey, finished with a grey wool knit tie. Slick, tonal and entirely considered, it is a look built to work as one, and just as easily undone. The jacket and trousers stand alone as well as they do together, and the shirt moves effortlessly from suiting into off duty wear.

Photographed against the weathered stone of the Peak District, the suit holds its own against the landscape, tailoring precise enough to match the drama of the setting itself.

Every Look, In Full

Four looks, one idea: tailoring built to move with a woman's life, not around it. Tweeds cut for a women's silhouette, a Loro Piana overcoat built to be worn for decades, and a chalkstripe suit as sharp as it is soft. Shot across the Peak District's moorland, heather and stone, this is Savile Row reimagined for the women who expect more from a suit than just a suit.
