NORTON & SONS

Autumn Winter '25 Style Guide

This season, we designed our Autumn Winter collection inspired by the English countryside, taking notes from the colours and textures of the vineyards, gardens and surroundings of rural Dorset, with the collection captured at The Langham Wine Estate in Dorchester.

Showcasing rich browns, natural greens and earthy tones, the collection features a range of classics that work just as well in the city as in the country. From the structured warmth of our Ulster Coat, the colourful tones of our Tweed Herringbone Jacket, the practical sensibility of our Waxed Cotton Safari, and the newly designed Estate Jacket, each garment is designed to last a lifetime whilst carrying you confidently through the season.

Norton & Sons X Langham Wine Estate

For our Autumn Winter 2025 collection, we are delighted to be working with Langham Wine Estate, an award-winning British sparkling wine house celebrated for its craftsmanship and character.

Set amongst the rolling green hills of Dorset, Langham’s vineyards stretch across 34 hectares, with neat rows of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes which flourish in the chalk-rich soil.

Founded in 2009, Langham has built a reputation for producing wines that marry tradition with innovation to create a distinctive place in the British sparkling wine scene. This approach reflects our own at Norton & Sons: rooted in heritage, but always evolving to craft pieces taht meet the needs of the gentlemen of today.

Together, we highlight the value of tradition, skill and detail, whether in a finely tailored coat or a bottle of sparkling wine.

The Lookbook

From the structured warmth of our Ulster coat, the colourful tones of our tweed herringbone jacket and the practical sensibility of our waxed cotton safari, our Autumn Winter ‘25 collection celebrates clothing that works just as well in the city as it does in the country. The cloth options themselves, from dense Shetland wools to Merino tweeds and textured hopsack, speak to our ongoing commitment to creating pieces designed to last you a lifetime.

This lookbook brings those ideas to life, showing each piece styled in context. The result is a collection that feels both familiar and fresh, grounded in our proud Norton & Sons tradition but ready for the gentleman of today.

The Ulster Coat

A true winter icon, our Ulster coat is a cornerstone of timeless style. Distinguished by its broad double breasted lapels, six-button front, turn-back cuffs, and half-belted back it strikes the perfect balance between refined tailoring and practicality.

Crafted from dense navy English Shetland wool, a cloth once relied upon to protect Britain’s fire services, this coat is built for warmth and resilience. Initially structured in its handle and feel, the wool gradually softens with wear, becoming more comfortable with time.

Styled with grey flannel trousers and a cool blue brushed cotton shirt, the result is a combination of understated versatility and quiet confidence. Worn easily both at home in the city or in the countryside at the weekend. Finished with classic brown boots, the look is representative of Norton & Sons classical British tailoring which values function as much as form.

The Tweed Herringbone Jacket

Our single breasted, notch lapel jacket is cut in a shetland wool tweed herringbone cloth. Rich in both colour and character, the cloth blends up to eight individually dyed fibre shades within each yarn, creating a depth of tone that combines browns, greens, oranges and blacks. The result is a cloth that styles easily with smarter flannel trousers to denim jeans as well as casual shirting, while carrying a distinctive richness of its own. Durable by nature, the tweed is designed to soften and improve with wear, building a unique patina over time.

The jacket features a notch lapel with a storm tab, flap and patch pockets and a single-button closure - a set of details that balance function with a clean, timeless look.

The Estate Jacket

The Estate Jacket is the latest addition to our Autumn Winter collection, created in collaboration with Langham Wine. Its design takes inspiration from the Langham team themselves, from the grape pickers to the head winemaker. We set out to create a jacket that reflects their spirit and design a piece that is relaxed yet functional, equally at home in the vineyard or beyond.

Crafted from soft twill Merino lambswool in a speckled herb-green hue, the jacket features large patch pockets, tab-and-button cuffs, and a generous internal facing for added utility. A strap-and-button fastening completes the design - ideal for carrying the essentials, whether it be tools of the vineyard or a bottle of Langham’s Blanc de Blancs.

Available exclusively for preorder, delivery of The Estate Jacket can be expected within six weeks.

The Check Tweed Jacket

Crafted from an Italian tweed in a rich forest green with navy overcheck, this jacket is cut in a classic single-breasted, one-button silhouette with jetted flap pockets.

Where British tweeds are known for their robust character, Italian tweeds bring a different sensibility. Lighter, softer and with a finer finish, Italian mills excel in creating more refined take on a heritage cloth. The result is a jacket that still retains the rugged spirit of tweed while delivering a smoother handle and a slightly dressier appearance.

Styled with our Ready to Wear charcoal flannel trousers and indigo denim shirt, the look combines polish with ease. Finished with a pair of leather boots, it strikes the right note between casual and considered — smart enough for an afternoon country reception, yet relaxed enough for a weekend lunch in town.

Shirting

This season we revisit some familiar favourites, including the classic collar shirt in indigo denim and our ever-reliable beige cotton flannel, whilst also introducing new styles in our signature one-piece collar design. Cut in brushed cotton twill, the shirts come in steel blue and sage green, colours chosen for their versatility and depth.

Designed to complement every element of our Autumn Winter tailoring, these shirts strike the ideal balance between smart and casual. Easy to wear with flannel trousers or denim, under a jacket or on their own, they are built to be the foundation pieces of an autumn wardrobe.
