New to Norton & Sons Ready to Wear, we have created select knitwear styles that reflect our brand ethos, knitwear made to be practical, but designed to be lived in.

Cut with softer raglan sleeves and a chunky roll neck, the jumper is knitted in a heavyweight Aran Donegal in a 70% wool and 30% cashmere composition. The Donegal yarn carries its characteristic slubbed texture throughout, flecks of warm brown and ivory running through the fell grey middle ground, softening what could otherwise be a flat, cold colour into something with real warmth and depth.

Why we designed this…

Fell grey takes its name from the high, exposed moorland it echoes and this jumper was designed with that kind of landscape in mind. It is a piece built for a cold British winter, heavy enough to wear on its own and easy enough to layer under a jacket or coat when the temperature drops further. Where much of the collection speaks to the outdoors through cloth and cut, this jumper speaks to it through texture alone.
