The Norton & Sons Packing List

Norton & Sons has long been a tailor that travels. Our clients take us with them to the Mediterranean, to East Africa and the Far East. We have always understood that a suit must work as hard in the world as it does on Savile Row. It must hold its shape on a long flight, look as at home at a harbour-side lunch as it does in the office. It’s the art of dressing for someone who has nowhere in particular to be and everywhere to go.

This summer, we've returned to that history with our summer packing list. Across six looks, each one built around the same idea: tailoring that travels properly.

The Boardroom Edit

From Savile Row to the gate... Two ways to pack for a trip that's all business.

Look One

On the Clock

This is the foundations which Norton & Sons is built upon.

Our Navy Travel Jacket is a staple in the world of travel tailoring. Cut from a navy Mockleno, its unique properties resist creasing and allow breathability in any warm climate your travels will take you to this summer.

Styled with a classic White Poplin Shirt and Fresco Trousers, it's finished with our Red and Navy Striped Silk Tie. It’s a look that’s sharp enough for the boardroom yet easy enough for the client lunch that inevitably follows. On the feet, a pair of Black Oxfords and our Norton & Sons cotton polka dot socks. All neatly packed into your case to create a look that is tailored, considered, and built to hold its line through a full day of travel.

Look Two

The Softer Side of Business

Our Brown Wool Seersucker Suit offers a softer, more European take on business tailoring. Trading structure for texture, seersucker's signature puckered weave adds interest and character to the silhouette. Where a cotton seersucker can feel casual stiff, a wool version sits squarely in suit territory, offering a lighter and less bulky cut. Perfect for meetings on a warm summer's day when you'd rather not sacrifice comfort for formality.

Underneath, our Dusty Pink Linen Shirt pairs beautifully with the brown, bringing colour and warmth to the combination. Available only in our Made to Measure and Bespoke Services, this Brown Wool Seersucker Suit is made entirely for you, a summer staple that will only get better with every trip it takes.

The Linen Edit

Light Luggage, Lighter Tailoring

Built for those long awaited out-of-office summer days. Made for warm climates, long days and adding plenty of character.

Look One

The Arrival

First impressions, made easy.

Our One-Piece collar shirt in a Blue Striped Linen sits proundly underneath our iconic Off-White Linen suit. Cut in a heavier weight of linen to add soft structure and designed unlined, its built to be worn open in the heat. It’s a standout look that takes you away from the streets of London to the hillsides of Santorini.

Look Two

The Long Lunch

A look for someone who has nowhere in particular to be and everywhere to go.

Our Gunclub Linen Jacket offers a little more structure without sacrificing ease. Unlined, softer shouldered and designed to move with you through a long, unhurried day. Worn over a Light Washed Denim Shirt and paired with our Cream Cotton Trousers, the combination is relaxed but still formal. A Navy Knitted Silk Tieis added as an optional gesture, put it on if the mood takes you, leave it in the suitcase if it doesn't. Tan Suede Loafers complete the look; preppy, considered and just the right side of dressed up.

Whether it's strolling the streets of Florence or on a terrace somewhere in the South of France, this is summer tailoring that knows exactly where it belongs.

Look Three

Golden Hour

As the light softens, so does the tailoring.

Our Wool, Silk and Linen Jacket in Sage Green is one of those pieces that earns its place in the case. A three-fibre blend that brings the best of each together, with the structure of wool, the sheen of silk and the breathability of linen all working in harmony. Styled here with our White One-Piece Collar Shirt, the combination is relaxed without ever losing its polish.

Finished with Brown Suede Loafers, this is the look for the hour when the day finally slows down.

The Explorer Edit

We've been outfitting the safari since 1821 and these two looks, one for her and one for him, carry that history forward.

Look One

For Him...

Our Tobacco Linen Safari Jacket paired with our White Linen Safari Shirt and White Linen Pleated Shorts. This is the explorer's uniform, updated for the modern traveller. Generous pockets, a soft collar and a linen cloth chosen for breathability in serious heat. Practical where it needs to be, and sharp enough for wherever the day ends up.

Suede braided belt and a camera close at hand. Ready for whatever crosses the path.

Look Two

For Her...

A look from our Women's Made to Measure and Bespoke services. Our Khaki Green Safari Jacket is cut in a durable cotton cloth, chosen for its hardwearing qualities in the field without sacrificing a clean, tailored cut. Styled here with matching pleated Shorts and neatly tied at the waist with a wrap-around tie belt, it's a silhouette that moves as freely as the itinerary demands. Underneath, a Relaxed White Linen Shirt keeps things cool and unstructured, the contrast of white against khaki as classic as the landscape it's made for.

Equally at home on a game drive at dawn or chasing golden hour at dusk, book an appointment with our womenswear representative to get started on your safari look.
